Project selection-Magaziene

Print journalism interests me because of the layout that you have to achieve to interest your audience. Something I learned in class that I found interesting how the balance of text to pictures is 60:40. Based on classroom experiences, such as watching the Tv show the Newsroom, and the Nixon and All the presidents men documentaries, I learned how Magazines function. After watching the newsroom i learned how a news production company operates. I learned that information used in newspapers is backed up by two sources, And I learned the use of media terms such as "on or off the record". Skills that I possess that I believe would make the magazine project a good fit for me is the fact that I have a general consensus for what is visually appealing as far as newspaper layout. I also have a good eye for photography which is what captures the magazine readers attention. Aspects of this project that may induce a challenge are fitting words around pictures, and at the moment its been challenging coming up with a topic for a magazine.
