Project Selection-Film

Aspects of film production that interest me are how you can effectively use different camera shots, to create a change in audience's mood. In class we have viewed All the presidents men, The Newsroom and the cult classic Ferris Bueller movie. In Ferris Bueller it interested me that some of the music coordinated with the films tone. I also found the film's locations interesting, such as the iconic Chicago tower. Skills I possess that make the film project a good fit for me are the fact that I am creative with ideas so I would have interesting camera angles in my film. I was thinking of a scene with filming at an underwater perspective of a floating body in a pool for one example. The challenges I might encounter for this project would be asking friends to be filmed in the movie because I don't think anyone I know would volunteer to do that. Also I think it may be challenging to get permission to film in certain areas.
