Submission feedback

The feedback I received was all positive from peers. I didn't receive a lot of feedback but, I was told to consider adding branding towards the bottom of my magazine, such as the month the magazine is published and a company website. I decided myself to add a barcode, and spell check my text in my issue. I added the branding as recommended by my teacher and peers to my Article pages and decided independently to add branding on my table of contents and cover page.

I made a Barcode for my travel magazine on a website called Barcodesinc.com. I included the retail price I plan to set my magazine at per issue in the Barcode, as well as the magazine name. I decided to add a Barcode to make my magazine as conventional as possible when comparing it to real travel magazines.

How did you Integrate technologies- Software,Hardware and Online in this project?

I used various hardware to complete my magazine. First of all I used a school owned Hp EliteBook Laptop. I used the laptop to conduct research to get a feel how other travel magazines format their magazines conventionally. Online, I used Google images to search for magazine covers, table of contents, and 2 page spreads. I also used the internet to research magazine design, distribution, and marketing, which helped me to understand the process of making a magazine. I primary used the computer to type my blog posts, but also I used the computer to access software including Adobe Premier pro and Photoshop, to build my magazine and put in and edit photos. I typed my blog posts on Google blogger, which is the platform im writing this on. The only other hardware I used was my cell phone which is an I phone 8. I used my phone to take the images that I used I my magazine. I used a feature in the default Camera app, that switched the photos to "higher resolution" to produce better quality photos and used another feature, "live photos", to eliminate blurry photos.

How did your production skills develop throughout this project?
Before I constructed this magazine I had no prior experience, I never assembled a magazine. Also the program I chose to assembly my magazine (Adobe Premier Pro) was unfamiliar to me and I had to learn how to use it. If i ever had to conduct a project in the future I would feel comfortable using Adobe Premier Pro. I also had never written a weekly blog, while completing this project I found just how easy the Google blogger program is to use. While doing this project I had to manage my time with other Aice classes and complete set blog dates. Throughout this project I became familiar how travel magazines are formatted through extensive research since I don't read magazines myself. Studying travel magazines Conde Nast Traveler, National Geographic Traveler, and Travel+leisure, I was able to create a similar format and assemble a magazine that looked good, while reviewing Sarasota Airports features someone traveling to Sarasota might be interested in.
