This magazine i'm analyzing is called vacations magazine. The cover layout has the title across the top fifth of the magazine. The cover consists of a picture of a pool in a resort throughout the entire cover. There are captions in spaces where their is sky or water. Colors of cover text are white and yellow, which show up well against the blue. Throughout the magazines articles the text is black on white. The pictures in the magazine are colorful and captivating. The table of contents has three pictures relating to three of the six articles. The table of contents is a list of six articles with bold titles and a brief article description. The pictures in the articles relate to the article topic. For example one article is 7 tropical resorts for less, and in the article the pictures include bedrooms, pools, bars, and beaches, which are four things associated with a resort. The picture to text ratio in the magazine follows a 60:40 ratio. Advertisements in the magazine include ads from Cruise Ships, and hotels and are all from a company Vacations to Go. The front and back two pages are ads. They have articles on Cruises, resorts, florida keys, norway, and about saving the gorillas in Africa. The articles appear mostly on the left and advertisements on the right. This magazine issue is from july 2016.
